About me

Hey there, I am Priya!

I am a policy researcher and economist specialising in survey methodology. My work involves applying research frameworks to complex questions for better policy outcomes. Over nearly a decade, I have tackled diverse questions across geographies and sectors, with a strong foundation in economics and public policy.

From evaluating agronomy programs in East Africa to improving savings and investment policies in the Philippines, writing case studies of impactful companies in Singapore, and designing rapid surveys to shape policymaking in India, my work combines cross-cutting research expertise with a focus on primary surveys as a source for insights.

I am currently the Principal of the Centre for Rapid Insights at Artha Global, where we are trying to seed the idea of rapid surveys in public policy in a rigourous and cost effective manner.

Outside of my professional world, I’m a fitness enthusiast on a mission to close all three activity rings on my watch—300/365 of the days in 2025! Whether it’s yoga, strength training, or a quick HIIT workout, staying active is my way of finding balance and staying sane. When I’m not working or working out, you’ll find me buried in a book, geeking out about big ideas in policy and good fiction.

The important thing is not to stop questioning.
